Ahoy me mateys Captain Cats here, and today I’m going to review Netflix’s news adult animated series, and that series is Love Death + Robots.

This anthology series is the brainchild of Tim Miller and David Fincher. This season has only 18 episodes, and each episode is no longer than 6 to 16 minutes. What makes this series so different and wild is the use of a total of 13 different studios to create this first season alone. Each episode has a mix of at least 3 to 5 genres; an excellent example of this would be “Secret War.” “Secret War” mixes horror, supernatural, alternate timeline, war, action, and drama all into a 16-minute episode.

After watching all 18 episodes there are a few that stand out, and I like, and they are in no particular order:

  • “Secret War”
  • “Zima Blue”
  • “Blindspot”
  • “Good Hunting”
  • “Suits”
  • “Three Robots”

Love Death + Robots is a unique, one of a kind experience with each episode feeling fresh and new while at the same being a bizarre trip to the unknown all at the same time. I would recommend you to watch a few episodes a day and not to watch this series with kids around; you will thank me later after watching the first episode.
