One of the biggest gaming community events just kick off its 2023 global campaign and its DreamHack and its first stop is in San Diego.

The event took place in the San Diego convention center, the home of SDCCI and it was the smart choice to have DreamHack here. The space to run such an event was needed and the convention center did a phenomenal job hosting DreamHack. Having the Rocket League Championship Series, Snapdragon Pro Series, DreamHack Fighters and the DreamHack Open running at the same time in this three-day event was a sight to see. The sound of cheers and excitement from the crowds, the light and sounds of the stage, and the coverage was a one-of-a-kind experience that was surreal and a delight.

One of the main events is the BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer/Console) which is the heart and soul of DreamHack because that is how this event started back in 1994 almost 30 years later they have never forgotten its roots. Another event that was going on was the US Magic: The Gathering Regional Championship and there was a lot of players and famous artist that has done artwork of some of your favorite magic cards.

Besides that there was so much more, meet and greets from famous actors, voice actors, content creators, famous esports players, and more. Unlike other events such as E3, the vibe here was as calm and easy going with everyone just being friendly and talkative and willing to talk to others with ease.

In the end, DeamHack is a must-go event that you have to go to when it’s going to your city or country this year. Writing about this event is not doing it justice, you have to experience it yourself and see how wonderful DreamHack is. The next DreamHack event will take place in Melbourne, Australia on April 28-30 and after that May 13-14 at Chiba, Japan.
