Ahoy Captain Cats here and today some big news about San Diego Comic-Con.

The Non-profit organization has announced in a press release that a “Special Edition” version of the famous convention for this year in November. Here is what they said about it:

“San Diego Comic Convention today announced dates for their November convention. Comic-Con Special Edition will be held as a three-day event over Thanksgiving weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 26-28, 2021 at the San Diego Convention Center. It is our hope that by Fall conditions will permit larger public gatherings.” – San Diego Comic-Con International

While this does sound good on paper, we don’t know if this will be a possibility in terms of how the rest of the world will like, let alone the USA from now till November in terms of how Covid-19 global situation is like in November. This announcement also has some backlash from convention-goers and people who participate at Comic-Con stating why this November especially during thanksgiving weekend, one of the busiest times of the year in terms of travel and “Black Friday” holiday shopping.

We will keep you up to date on this month by month if anything has changed in terms of the local, state, national governments say about anything for Covid-19 new rules and such and if the organization will go through this or not. To read the full statement you can click here.
