Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we are going to talk about the best and worst of anime in 2019 and we are going to start with the worst things that happen in anime in 2019.

Netflix Drop the Ball in Anime
Netflix has been all on board with bringing anime into its streaming service, but to no success with this year’s lineup. Series such as Ultraman, Saint Seiya reboot, 7Seeds, Kengan Ashura and others have been a huge disappointment. Netflix also continues with bringing anime series over that have been finished, but they bring one half of the series over and wait till a few months later to bring the rest over, which is a stupid process if you ask me. They need to step up their game in 2020 if they are very serious about anime.

The Loss of Many Talented People in 2019
2019 has been a hard year for the anime industry with a lot of people who have passed away this year. People such as Makio Inoue, Kinryuu Arimoto, Fuyumi Shiraishi, and Yasuhiro Takemoto who are gone but will not be forgotten.

The Kyoto Animation Studio Fire
July 18, 2019, is a day no one will forget. An Arsonist set the Kyoto Animation Studio, which was located in the Fushimi area of Kyoto, Japan and the result of 34 people who were and still injure and 36 people who lost their lives in the fire. As of now, there is no word yet when the studio will open its door for work.
