Today on underground we are going to be talking an album from a film which was better than the main soundtrack itself, and that is The Life Aquatic Studio Sessions Featuring Seu Jorge.

The Life Aquatic Studio Sessions Featuring Seu Jorge is a one person album by Brazilian musician Seu Jorge who was also in the film “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.” Seu Jorge was Pele dos Santos, a crew member who made the music for Steve Zissou in the film. This album was a collection of cover songs of David Bowie plus one original song titled “Team Zissou.” Seu Jorge handpicked the songs that he covered, and this album was pretty much an MTV Unplugged album, but for a film. Here is a small list of the songs Jorge pick for this album:

David Bowie having learned about this album and listen to it before release had this to say in the album’s liner notes:

“Had Seu Jorge not recorded my songs in Portuguese, I would never have heard this new level of beauty which he has imbued them with.” – David Bowie

If you have the time to listen to this album that even David Bowie himself said it was beautiful, please do. The album released in 2005 and some of the songs were used in the film as well.
