Mirka Andolfo’s Blasfamous #1 Review

What do you get if you mix sex, drugs, and rock and roll with religion, well you get Mirka Andolfo’s newest work Blasfamous.

The new series is about Clelia, the reigning queen of pop, who feels like everything is going under due to a newcomer with an irresistible charm that might end Clelia’s reign. With the help of her demon agent, Father Lev, the two will do everything they can to not only save her dominance in the pop music scene but also find something else about the newcomer.

Andolfo does a wonderful job with the story and artwork here, it’s a total 360 from her previous work “Sweet Paprika” and how the way it is, reminds me a lot of the old Heavy Metal stories from back in the day. The artwork and colors she uses in this series are very different, wild, and hard-hitting in the right way. Story-wise it’s a bit all over the place in terms of religion, horror, love, and even comedy.
