The Big Lebowski Gets A Spiritual Sequel With The Jesus Rolls

Ahoy Captain Cats here and yes you read that right we are getting some kind of a sequel to The Big Lebowski.

According to IndieWire that the film will be opening in Italy next month and that the film won’t see a North America release till 2020. There is already a trailer that you can see here, but sadly it is not in English but Italian dub.

The film will be centered around Jesus Quintana, and we don’t know if this film takes place before or after The Big Lebowski, but the premises of the film sounds great. The story is about Jesus leaving prison and hooks up with two misfits and they end up making stupid mistakes throughout the film.

It is also needed to be stated that the Coen Brothers had no hand in the film at all, The Jesus Roll was written and directed by John Turturro and he had this to say about if the Coen Brothers had a hand on the film:

“They said you gotta do it cause we’re not doing it! If I had something to show, I show it to them if they’re around” – John Turturro

The Jesus Roll will be in cinemas in North America in 2020.
