Created by Bill Watterson, Calvin and Hobbes was introduced to the world on November 18, 1985, and ran till December 31, 1995, and it was nothing but pure magic. The comic strip had everything you wanted in a comic strip, if not more, especially with how Watterson tried to push the boundary of what is a comic strip with his now iconic Sunday color strips, and they were nothing short but marvelous works of art.
