Yup, you read that right, the Japanese master of horror is making a new one-shot story which is called Tomie: Control, and will be out in the April issue of Nemuki+ magazine in Japan.

If you don’t know what Tomi is, it is Junji Ito’s first published work and became a cult classic which led to many critics praising this series and making new fans to this series as well. Tomie is a supernatural, psychological horror manga series that was Ito both the writer and artist and it tells of a mysterious beautiful woman named Tomie Kawakami who can make men do what she wants and drive women into insanity, but behind this beauty is something you rather not want to meet.

Tomie ran from 1987 to 2000 and has a total volume of 3 books and many adaptations in both live-action and animation with the most recent being last year Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tale of the Macabre that was released on Netflix with an episode titled “Tomie’s Photos.”
