After 8 episodes of song, dance, and lots of murder the Hazbin Hotel just wrapped up its first season and after a slow start, it found its feet and is worth the watch.

Like I said before with my review of the first four episodes, the series took its time to find its voice and didn’t have the same charm and storytelling as its spinoff series Helluva Boss, the second half of season one proved me wrong.

The show did come together with episodes 5 and 6 “Dad Beat Dad” and “Welcome to Heaven” in which we got to see more of the character’s personal dilemmas and life views like that of Helluva Boss and how the way the season ended looks like we have to wait for season 2 to see where the series goes. Not only that but it also painted a bigger picture that left me wanting more and more questions than answers, but in a good way. The voice actors and actresses were on display and they brought it home when it was needed and overall I just loved it.

I am for one very happy that Hazbin Hotel proved me wrong after so many years of waiting to see this series. While we may have to wait for season 2 to show up I know it is going to be worth the wait. If you haven’t seen Helluva Boss I highly recommend it, and a reminder both shows are not for kids.

Hazbin Hotel is on Amazon Prime.
