ESA Officially Canceled E3

Well, no one didn’t see this one coming and to be honest I’m kind of not surprised. Last week it was reported by IGN that the ESA was sending e-mails to their partners that the digital version of E3 was canceled, and soon after that it was made official.

The ESA did say back in January of this year that the in-person E3 was canceled but never gave a reason why until now. Here is the official statement from the ESA:

“We will devote all our energy and resources to delivering a revitalized physical and digital E3 experience next summer. Whether enjoyed from the show floor or your favorite devices, the 2023 showcase will bring the community, media, and industry back together in an all-new format and interactive experience. We look forward to presenting E3 to fans around the world live from Los Angeles in 2023.” – The ESA

So much for that, I guess.
