Ahoy Captain Cats heer and today I’m going to review the latest new series from Image Comics and that series is The Me You Love In The Dark.

The series is about an artist by the name of Ro who leaves her city life and moves to a small town in an old home for both solace and inspiration. From here she doesn’t find solace, but she did find her inspiration that she wasn’t expecting at all.

The first issue is wonderfully done in a way that the pace and tone are perfect in every way. By the time I was done with this issue, I couldn’t wait for the second issue to come out. The Me You Love In The Dark has an all-star team with Skottie Young (Marvel’s Wizard of Oz, I HATE FAIRYLAND) doing the writing, Jorge Corona (We Are Robin, GONERS, NO.1 WITH A BULLET) doing the artwork, Jean-Francois Beaulieu doing the coloring and Nate Piekos doing the lettering, you can’t go work. From start to finish it was perfect in every way.

Image Comics has may have another series that you have to have on your must-read list next to its other already hit series Sweet Paprika and who knows both series may be on the hunt for awards for next year.
