The other big news is that Sony is on the verge to buy anime streaming service Crunchyroll. According to a report by Nekkia Asia that Sony could end up spending up to 100 billion Yen (which is $957 million in USD) and looking to corner the anime market and go toe to toe with Hulu and Netflix. This could be both good and bad for consumers due to certain anime series being exclusive to said streaming service or whatnot.
