Mirka Andolfo Announced Sweet Paprika Animated Series

Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we have some big news in the animation world.

Mirka Andolfo is on a roll in 2020. With the success with her new comic series Mercy successful launch and her single issue of Harley Quinn Black + White + Red being a beautiful work of art, it makes us wonder what is next for the fame Italian illustrator. In a press release, she is going to bring one of her beloved characters to life via animation and that character is Sweet Paprika. If you wondering what this is all about, here is what the animated series is going to be about:

Andolfo will be working with Gabriele Pennacchiolo, who won a Primetime Emmy Award for his role in Netflix’s Love Death + Robots and Tommaso Triolo of the Italian Comedy Troupe The Jackal will be writing the script. Arancia Studio and Grey Ladder will be producing the series as well. When asked about working with Gabriele Pennacchiolo and Tommaso Triolo she had this to say:

I’m still devoted to creating monthly comics, but the idea of starting a new adventure in another medium is exciting, and working alongside professionals like Gabriele and Tommaso is more than I could ever hope for!” – Mirka Andolfo

Gabriele Pennacchiolo had this to say about working on Sweet Paprika:

I’m going to take a guess and say this series maybe will be on Netflix in the near future, but we don’t know for sure at this point but once more information about Sweet Paprika is release we will report on it.
