Ahoy Captain Cats here and today I’m going to review the first 3 seasons of one of the best-hidden gems of a show you must see and that series is Midnight Dinner.

I did a review of Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories and for many who didn’t know they were season 4 and 5. It wasn’t until last week Netflix quietly release the first three season of Midnight Diner and after watching all three season, I am happy to say they they are wonderful, but you get to see a lot more of everyone backstory and more.

We get to see how all of the usual clients of the diner came to be and with a backstory to not only who they are, but also how they came to be and why they love to eat the food that puts them in a happy place and such. All three seasons are heartfelt, funny, dramatic, and make you think about what would you do in that situation each episode has to offer. The only bad thing I would have to say is that it doesn’t look great as Tokyo Stories does and it is alright because the first three seasons were shown on MBS and the first three seasons were filmed and released in 2009, 2011, and 2014.

From start to finish Midnight Diner is one of the best shows on Netflix that doesn’t get enough praise, if you haven’t watched either or, do yourself a favor and watch Midnight Diner first then Tokyo Stories.
