Ahoy Captain Cats here and today is another round of cartoon news round up so let’s get to it

One of the biggest news of the year so far in the Box Office is that Universal made the choice and historic move by making Trolls World Tour release on Premium Video on Demand or PVOD or short, on the same day as it’s opening weekend and in three weeks made almost $100 million in PVOD. While that is great news to them, that pissed off AMC at the same time and now there is a mini fight going on between the two and this may well set the tone for how films will be released in the near future.

Warner Bros.’s announced that on May 1st Michael Ouweleen will be the President of Adult Swim and in case you have or haven’t heard of him, he was the Co-Creator of Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. His current role as interim president for WB global kids, young adults, and classics will be taken over by Tom Ascheim on July 1st of this year and this is a great move. Ouweleen has been around the Adult Swim brand since it’s launch back in 2001 and has been coming out with hit series such as Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Boondocks, Metalocalypse, Superjail!, Robot Chicken and The Venture Bros.

Lastly, two trailers to talk about first is the trailer for the final season for She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and with a release date of May 15 and for many fans of the series, it will be what they have been waiting for and who knows we might get to see He-Man. Another series that has a release date is none other then The Looney Tunes Cartoons and WB went back to their roots with this one. The Looney Tunes Cartoons will be on HBO Max on May 27, in other words, day one of HBO Max.
