Ahoy Captain Cats here! The Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards or the Eisner Awards for short is the comic book industry equal to The Oscars since the Kirby Awards was discontinued back in 1987. This year Eisner has some impressive nominations:
- DC and Image have the most nominations with 17 and 19 respectively
- Image swept the Best New Series with six nods
- Marvel has seven nominations
- Mister Miracle by Tom King and Mitch Gerads has four nods which include Best Limited Series
- Six companies are tied with three nods
- A total of 11 people have been nominated for 2 Eisner this year
