Ahoy me mateys Captain Cats here, and today we are going to talk about EVERYTHING that came out of this past weekend at this year’s Star Wars Celebration 2019.

EPISODE IX TRAILER SHOWEN TO THE WORLD

The first of many news that came out of Star Wars Celebration was the world trailer of the new Star Wars movie that has an official title, and it’s “Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.” The whole trailer was great, a lot of things in this trailer will win over people and fans who dislike the last film and will be released this December. The biggest question that will have many fans and moviegoers wondering is this; Will Episode IX wrap up the ENTIRE saga that George Lucas started 40 years ago on a high note, or will it trip up at the finish line?

A NEW STAR WARS GAME WILL BE CANNON AND COMING OUT THIS YEAR

The newest Star Wars game from Respawn Entertainment was shown with a full trailer and released date and it is titled “Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order.” Vince Zampella, Founder of Respawn said that the game would be:

“Single-player story game…. no multiplayer, no microtransaction.” – Vince Zampella, Founder of Respawn Entertainment

The story will take place between Episodes III and IV after the events of the Emperor had activated Order 66, the game will focus on a Padawan named Cal Kestis, who is one of the few that survived Order 66. The game has a release date of November 15, 2019, and will be out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

NEW STAR WARS COMICS FROM MARVEL COMICS

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Comics will be coming out with new Star Wars comics this summer. The nine special series is titled “Star Wars: Age of Resistance,” will be written by Tom Taylor of X-Men Red and Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man series. The ninth issue will have three mini-stories that are written by Tom Taylor, G. Willow Wilson, and Chris Eliopoulos. Taylor will be working with artists Ramon Rosanas and Leonard Kirk who will both to Hero and Villain issues respectively. Other Comic book news is that Kieron Gillen’s run on the main book will come to an end. According to Comic Book that Gillen’s last issue on the series will be issue # 67. Issue #68 will introduce the team of Greg Pak and Phil Noto, who will be doing the writing and artwork respectively. Gillen has been writing the main book since 2015.

TWO LIVE ACTION SERIES COMING TO DISNEY+

According to The Verge that two live action star wars series will be on Disney +. The first will be “The Mandalorian,” which will be on DISNEY+ on day one of the new streaming service. All we know is the synopsis of the series from Executive Producer Jon Favreau:

“After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic….” Jon Favreua

The other live-action series is a spin-off of Rogue One with Alan Tudyk and Diego Luna reprising their roles as droid K-2SO and Rebel Alliance spy Cassian Andor.

HASBRO SHOWS OFF SAN DIEGO COMIC CON 2019 EXCLUSIVES WITH PRICE

We are 93 days away from SDCC 2019, and Hasbro has revealed its first exclusives for this year convention at Star Wars Celebration. According to WDW News Today, Hasbro will be selling a 6-inch scale Boba Fett, which will be part of The Black Series and is model after the original Kenner figure and will go for $24.99. Not only that but they will be selling three 3.75-inch Luke Skywalker figure in a bundle set. Each Skywalker will be from Episode IV-VI and will go for $49.99. As of now, they will be sold only at SDCC and no word on if they will be sold outside of SDCC in-store or online in a later date.

A BELOVED SERIES AND JEDI RETURN TO THE SMALL SCREEN

The last final surprise at Star Wars Celebration was the trailer of Star Wars: The Clone Wars season seven. We see fan favorite Ahsoka Tano making her grand return after the end of season 5, which was six years ago. Season seven will pick up sometimes after season six, and we will finally see “The Siege of Mandalore,” which I for one can not wait to see. Star Wars: The Clone Wars season seven will be exclusive to Disney+ and maybe be out either later this year or sometime in 2020.
