Ahoy me mateys Captain Cats here. Lauren Faust, the creator of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, is creating a new series for DC Comics and it’s DC Super Hero Girls, which is based on the franchise series of the same name that was released back in 2015.

Unlike the other series that is still going on, this series will focus on teenage versions of Batgirl, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Bumblebee, Zatanna and Jessica Cruz aka Green Lantern. All that I know of is that the series will take place in Metropolis at Metropolis High School.

What I love about what I have seen so far, based on the shorts that DC has been releasing online and they are:

The series has this happy go lucky vibe to it, and the art is beautiful, it reminds me of her previous work for DC, which was the Super Best Friends Forever or SBFF for short and they were terrific. Grey Griffin, Tara Strong, and Nicole Sullivan will reprise their roles from the SBFF in this series, as well as other voice actors such as Kari Wahlgren, Fred Tatasciore, John de Lancie and Keith Ferguson.

DC Super Hero Girls will be on Cartoon Network this February
