This past week the nominations for the Academy Awards or better known as The Oscars has been revealed, and a lot of the same names that were nominated for The Golden Globes are here and with a few twists along the way. Roma and The Favourite both have ten nominations each and a lot of firsts for many actors and directors as well. Here is the list for the main categories at this year’s Oscars:

A lot of important questions going into this year’s Oscar such as:

• Will Black Panther be the first Superhero movie to win Best Picture?
• Will Spike Lee win his first Best Director?
• Will Yalitza Aparicio be the First ever Mexican Native Actress to win Best Actress?
• Will Roma win both Best Picture and Foreign Film?
• Will this year be the year that Netflix wins big and proves its the new place for filmmakers to go to?
