Ahoy Me Mateys Captain Cats here! Food, one of two things the human body cant live without, the other is water. SDCC is just six days away and cases your wondering, where can I go out to eat within my budget? Have no fear; we will give you a small helping hand with this and give you some ideas on where to eat! I’ll break everything down by using “$” and will be as follow:

$ – Very inexpensive and won’t hurt your budget

$$ – average expensive and will fit with every budget

$$$ – a bit over budget

$$$$ – a big hole in your budget!

The San Diego Convention Center-$$

The convention center (CC) has a right amount of food from burgers with fries to BBQ meats and pizza and hot dogs. Today the CC will also be selling original chocolate bars and Fish Tacos! If the Fish Tacos turn out to be a hit, then get them before everyone else.

Gaslamp Quarter – $ to $$$$

The Gaslamp Quarter has a lot of fantastic places to eat but at a price. You can find places that are with $ and have a good meal. Places with $$ can be good as well, but sometimes you can find better with a bang with your buck type of food deals and food. The places with $$$ and $$$$ are very good but more for people who either want to show off on how much they can spend or have a perfect budget.

Seaport Village – $$

Seaport Village is a great place to visit if you need some air and sightseeing outside of the comic con. Food wise it’s an alright place to eat, especially if you are a huge seafood lover! If you love seafood of any kind, the wonderful feel of the ocean breeze and the lovely view, you can’t go wrong with any of the places to eat!

Embarcadero – $$

just like Seaport village but behind the CC!

Downtown/East Village – $$$

Downtown and the East Village have a lot of different places, food, environments vibe and nightlife to offer. If you can manage your budget for the week and see whats out there, you can find lots of great meals waiting for you!

Little Italy – $$$

Home to the best Italian cuisine in San Diego, this is a must place to visit and eat! Lots of different food, lots of cultures, a lot to offer, Little Italy has it all. Come here to eat for one night, and you’ll see why people love to wine and dine here!

In and Out Burger – $

Locals know how great this Californian burger joint is. If you’re an out of townee or live in a different part of San Diego that doesn’t have an In and Out, go and enjoy yourself! I would recommend going to the In and Out in National City; I would suggest taking the trolley to 24th St and walk across the street because this location is always packed and always cooking!

There you go, a small but helpful ideal for what you may about to spend on going out to eat. Always remember if you are starving, need to take any medication with food or have low blood sugar, please eat at any place near you.
