Living the dream! Arcade 1Up machines have a release date

Ahoy Me Mateys Captain Cats here! Anyone who grew up in the 80’s and 90’s knew they wanted to own a arcade cabinet of your favorite game and play it all the time. Now you can all thanks to Arcade 1Up, and it’s cabinets. The company has a total of 6 machines that you can have in your home thanks to its innovation. According to Arcade 1Up, the cabinets will be ¾ scale arcade cabinet size and weights about 63 lbs, will have arcade style control and gameplay and officially licensed cabinet artwork. Assembly is very simple, and you don’t have to worry about cables and other components because they took care of all of that for you. All one needs to do is hook up one ribbon to the screen and power supply, and that’s it, very simple. For the machines and the games here is the list as follow:

• Asteroids Cabinet- Comes with Asteroids, Major Havoc, Lunar Lander, and Tempest.
• Centipede Cabinet- Comes with Centipede, Missile Command, Crystal Castle and Millipede.
• Rampage Cabinet- Comes with Rampage, Gauntlet, Joust and Defender
• Street Fighter II Cabinet- Comes with Street Fighter II Champion Edition, Street Fighter II The New Challengers and Street Fighter II Turbo.
• Galaga Cabinet- Comes with Galaga and Galaxian and only available at Walmart
• The Deluxe Edition – Comes with all the games from the Asteroids and Centipede cabinets, but also three more games, Asteroids Deluxe, Liberator and Quantum, this is only available at Fry’s

all of the machines will be around $299.99, except for the Deluxe Edition that will be $499.99 and will be available on September 25 of this year. If I have a chance to pick up one, I will do a review and let you know if it’s worth getting.
