A few years ago I reviewed Artillery Network’s first book, .375 Magnum Opus and I said this about the book:

“From beginning to end this was pure tour de force of action, violence, gunplay, drugs, sex, and rock and roll all rolled up into this book.” – Captain Cats.

Now Ghezal Omar is back with Kayden Phoenix, who worked together on Pagan Valley to create the prequel to .375 Magnum Opus with .375 Magnum Opus: The Golden Suicides. The book takes place sometime before the events of the MO and focuses on Dylan Cuevas, a young bounty hunter in Las Vagas she stumbles onto a lead that involves a handful of assassins who had died due to what it looks like to be suicides.

Omar and Phoenix have done a great job with the prequel in every way, from the art and coloring to down to the writing and character development. While the book is 82 pages long, the pace and story feel just right, and the art pulls it all together. .375 Magnum Opus: The Golden Suicides is worth the read and is recommended if you a fan of the first book or want a good light read and support the indie scene.

.375 Magnum Opus: The Golden Suicides is available now and you can order it on the link here.
