Yo Ho! WeRCatz here and back!!! I apologize for the silence.
South Park once again hit it right out of the park with their Special Event. More oriented to an “adult audience,” Not Suitable For Children pokes fun at the world of influencers, OnlyFans models, social media trends, Logan Paul, and the drink Prime.
This special shows that Matt and Trey have done it again. Keeping true to the formula, South Park remains fresh and relevant. The major difference is that the whole story focuses on Clyde and his quest to get Cred (a parody of Prime). Then again, it can also be said that it is another Randy story with Randy Marsh expanding his “Randyness” to a “major adult audience.”
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. It marks the idiocies of how influencers can turn one little product into social gold without understanding the consequences of getting that gold. Influencers of different types would do almost anything their platform allows so they get the big bucks from “sponsors.” The only negative is what Randy shows off, but then again it plays into the overall commentary about the dangers of influencing: ANYONE could be an audience and it can lead to legal troubles.
I can’t wait for South Park to come out with another Special Event. 2024 will get very interesting…
