Sgt Rock VS The Army of the Dead Issue 1 Review

Well Halloween is just around the corner and now is a good time to pick up some spooky reading this year DC got the one and only Bruce Campbell to write a horror story that stars SGT Rock and Easy Company in Sgt Rock VS The Army of the Dead.

The story takes place in Berlin in 1944 and the Nazis forces are losing the war. In a last-ditch effort, Hitler and some Nazi scientists will and have done the unthinkable, bring back the dead to life! The Allied Forces sent Sgt Rock and Easy Company to see if the rumors are true about Nazi Zombies.

Bruce Campbell did a hell of a job with this first issue, bringing this kind of Army of Darkness horror and comedy to this mini-series. Eduardo Risso’s art was great as well in being this undead tell to life. If you are looking for something spooky and new, give this book a look. DC took a huge risk on this and it looks like it might pay off in the end.
