Ms. Pac-Man Turns 40

Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we are going to look at one of the first Mods in video game history and that video game was Ms. Pac-Man.

Ms. Pac-Man was a mod for Pac-Man, with the use of an enhancement kit that was called Crazy Otto and was created by General Computer Corporation or GCC for short. While the company was taken to court by Atari, GCC was forced to show what they did to Midway, the distributor for Pac-Man in North America, they loved the idea and bought Crazy Otto and ask GCC to make the game.

In January of 1982, Ms. Pac-Man was released to arcades to rave reviews and many even called Ms. Pac-Man superior to Pac-Man. Ms. Pac-Man has aged like fine wine and still holds up so very well to this day. I remember playing this and always thought this was harder and even more challenging than Pac-Man and I was right.
