Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we are going to review one of the best-kept secrets in comics and that is .357 Magnum Opus (MO for short from here on out).

The story is about two bounty hunters, Kassius Del Mar and Sexx Pistol who were tasked to bring a small fry named Bastian Braun to Las Vegas by the orders of crime boss Lyndon Baines. If you think this was going to be a “by the books” story then you are wrong, from beginning to end this was pure tour de force of action, violence, gunplay, drugs, sex, and rock and roll all rolled up into this book.

All the characters both main and secondary are a blast here, full of personality and charm that I haven’t seen in such a long time, not only that but MO felt like I was reading an upcoming Quentin Tarantino film. Ghezal Omar did a hell of a job here with MO, she created a one of a kind book that just oozes with style and a cool factor that most mainstream books just don’t have anymore. Illustrator Mingchen Shen went all gangbusters with the artwork here in MO, from character, environmental, and color design, Shen just went on full display here and it shows. This duo has created something that if continued could be the next big thing in comics.
