Maria Llovet’s Porcelain #1 Review

Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we are going to look at the latest work from fame comic author and illustrator Maria Llovet and this time its Porcelain.

Porcelain is about a girl named Beryl, who lives in the desert with her aunt and cat. Her aunt asks her to go to the store and while going to the store with her cat, a small place called the Dollhouse appears and takes her and her cat inside and it is nothing that you expected.

Porcelain is as beautiful as it is haunting in every way. The lack of word, the colorful environments and the haunting tones inside the Dollhouse is just pure gold here. The best way I can say about this issue and maybe the rest of the series is this, if you took the colorful artwork of Jean Giraud (AKA Moebius) and mix it with the tone and horror storytelling of Junji Ito, then you have this series and that is a huge compliment.
