Disney Shut Down Blue Sky Studios

Ahoy Captain Cats here and today some sad news to report.

Back in February of this year, it was announced that Disney had decided to shut down Blue Sky Studios and as of April 7 Blue Sky Studios is no more. Blue Sky Studios created such animated hit films series as Ice Age and Rio and other animated films such as Horton Hears a Who, Ferdinand, and The Peanuts Movie.

Disney obtained Blue Sky Studios during the acquisition of 20th-century fox in 2019 and Disney has stated that the decision to shut down Blue Sky Studio was due to the current pandemic of Covid-19.
