HBO MAX will show the “Snyder Cut” in 2021

Ahoy Captain Cats here and it is happening, the Snyder Cut will see the light of day in 2021.

In case you don’t know what I’m and the rest of the entertainment and pop culture news outlets are talking about and that is the Snyder Cut. The Snyder Cut is the original version of the Justice League film that Snyder directed back in 2017 but with more things that would have helped the film out more and to set up the rest of the DCEU films which would have lead up to the second Justice League film with the league going toe to toe with Darkside. Not only that but in the Snyder Cut we would have also seen time travel, more backstory, more character development, a Green Lantern, and other DC characters and would have seen Darkside and the rest of his army for the first time not only in the film but also on the big screen. Besides all of this, the Snyder Cut would have been three and a half hours long compared to the two-hour version that was released back in 2017.

Now here are the two biggest problems the Snyder Cut has to go up against, who wanted it, and can it live up to its expectations.

To answer the first question, it would be fans of the DCEU version of 2013’s Man of Steel and 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which both weren’t great at all and the internet.

To answer the second question, it has a lot going against it. For starters before Justice League two films came out, 2016’s Oscar winner Suicide Squad, yes I’m not joking it won an Oscar and 2017’s Wonder Woman, which set the bar for the rest of the DCEU films to come. After Justice League released in 2017, the next three films were massive hits and they were Aquaman, Shazam! and Birds of Prey and Wonder Woman 1984 will be released later this year so that is one big uphill battle for the Snyder Cut to confront. In case you’re wondering why I didn’t include Joker because it’s not part of DCEU and let’s face it Joker was a fantastic film and I don’t think the Snyder Cut would outshine this masterpiece.

The Snyder Cut will be released in 2021 on HBO MAX and once it’s available we will give you our review on it.
