Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories is coming back with a new season

Ahoy Captain Cats here and today some excellent news for a series on Netflix that is very underrated and a real hidden gem and that series is Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories.

According to bleeding cool that Netflix will be producing a new season of this series. The series is based on the manga series Shinya Shokudo which was created by Yaro Abe. The series in both the manga and live-action series all take place in a small late night diner that opens from midnight till sunrise and has stories from its cast of odd ball guest.

It is reported that Kaoru Kobayashi will come back to reprise his role as the master, the owner of the diner and Joji Matsouka, Nobuhiro Yamashita and Shotaro Kobayashi will all return to direct the series. The supporting cast of “Regulars” will also be coming back to reprise their roles as well as unannounced guest stars of each of the new episodes.

If you haven’t seen this series or heard of it, it’s still on Netflix and takes the time to watch over the weekend, and you will not be disappointed. The new season will be released on Netflix sometime in autumn of this year.
