DC Comics and Warner Bros are rolling the dice again with the massive success of My Adventures with Superman, DC Comics and WB decided to try it again, but this time with the Suicide Squad with the release of Suicide Squad Isekai.

The series is produced by Wit Studio, the studio behind the summer anime series My Deer Friend Nokotan, and is directed by Eri Osada and written by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara, with Kenichiro Suehiro doing the music. In case you are wondering what the series is about, it’s just a typical suicide squad story, but this time around the team is sent to another world and must get the job done within 72 hours or they die. The team has Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, King Shark, and Rick Flag, and if you saw the second live-action film, then you’ll get an idea of what you are getting into.

After watching the first 3 episodes, the series is ok at best, but there is some wiggle room for the series to be great, but if it’s going to stick to a set plans then it would be a massive miss on everyone who worked on this series.

Suicide Squad Isekai is on Max and Hulu now, with new episodes coming out once a week.
