MTV in the 1990s was on top of the world with the likes of series such as Daria, Celebrity Deathmatch, Beavis and Butt-head, The Real World, Road Rules, and Aeon Flux, there are a few times they had a series that could have been an instant classic, but did nothing with it and one of these series turn 25 and that series is Downtown.

The series was about the daily lives of a small group of people in New York City in 1999 and we get to see how they go on with their lives. The series Chris Prynoski, who works on shows such as Daria and Beavis and Butt-head went on to co-found Titmouse, inc.

While the series only lasted one season with 13 episodes, it was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program. This series is an excellent example of a show that was canceled before its time and a great example of what the 90s were. Sadly there was never a home release of this series so you have to watch in any way you can.
