Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Had The Best Opening Weekend of Any Video Game Film

Well, the blue hedgehog has done it again at the box office. According to Variety, the film made a total of $71 million in its opening weekend, while at the same time blowing out the competition as well. Marvel’s Morbius starring Jared Leto just made a total of $39.1 million and Michael Bay’s latest film Ambulance just made a total of $8.7 on their opening weekend as well.

The Sega mascot as of now has made a total of $141 million worldwide and looks like it is on course to match the 2020 first film that made a total of $319 worldwide. Let’s hope that Sega and Paramount will do a part three down the road. The opening weekend for the first film was $58 million and had positive reviews.
