The 2021 Golden Globes Nominees Have Been Announced

Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we are going to take a look at this year’s nominees for this Golden Globe.

As you can see from the official list from the Golden Globes there are interesting names and choices for some of the categories here. Netflix is in control with both cinema and tv with picking up nods for films and shows such as “Mank” “The Trial of the Chicago 7” and “The Crown” lending the pack. Not only that but for the first time in the best director category three female directors are up for a Golden Globe and they are:

• Emerald Fennell for Promising Young Women
• Regina King for One Night in Miami
• Chloé Zhoa for Nomanland
  

In case you are wondering about Best Animation, there was a surprise. Netflix’s Over the Moon and Apple TV’s Wolfwalker are up for Best Animation and they are going up against Onward, Soul, and The Croods A New Age. Over the Moon and Wolfwalker are very beautiful and very original, it looks like an uphill battle for them.

The Golden Globes will take place on the 28 this month and we’ll let you know what we think of the winners and congratulations to all of the nominees!
