Ahoy Captain Cats here and it looks like the boys will be around for a little while longer.
According to Variety Comedy Central has renewed South Park for three more seasons just weeks from its season 23 premiere which is on September 25. Series Creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker had this to say about the deal:
“Apparently, our efforts to get our own show cancelled have fallen short. Luckily, we love Comedy Central and Kent Alterman and our staff so we are looking forward to new cancellation opportunities in the next few years.” – Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Creators of South Park
With this new deal, the series will hit its 300th episode and will be hitting the 26 seasons mark. South Park the second-longest series still on tv, just behind The Simpsons who will enter its 31st season this year and will turn 30 this year as well.
