Primal Season 2 Review

If you would have told me that one of the best shows of 2022 in North America was also the most underrated of 2022 I would call you a liar, but it happen. Genndy Tartakovsky just ended one of the best shows of this year in a blaze of glory and that show is Primal.

Season 2 picks up where season 1 left off and we see Spear and Fang going to save their new ally, Mira and from here on out it becomes a bloody affair. New lands, enemies, and other things to kill, and oh did they kill. What made Primal such an underrated hit is the minimalism in communication. Spear doesn’t talk at all unless he calls for Mira or his war cry. Mira and a few others talk but not so much. The use of body langue to tell a story and keep you in from start to finish in each episode.

Tartakovsky somehow reinvented the adult animation wheel with Primal and he has stated that a third season is coming and will be an anthology series and that will keep this series around for a few more seasons.
