Sunrise Announced New Gundam Series

Ahoy Captain Cats here and today some Gundam news that a lot of fans have been waiting to hear.

Sunrise Inc. announced during the Dai-2 kai Gundam Conference the name of the next Gundam TV series and the official name is Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury and it will be released sometime in 2022. Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Chief Gundam Officer Koji Fujiwara said this about not just this upcoming series, but the future of the Gundam franchise:

“We are aiming to create a work that even young generations will support. We are making bigger developments that ever before.” – Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Chief Gundam Officer Koji Fujiwara

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury will be the newest Gundam series to date and the last series before this in the franchise was Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans and that series was released seven years ago.
