Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we are going talk about the worst of gaming that happened in 2020 that doesn’t include Covid 19. We could talk about the delays with Cyberpunk 2077, the many remakes that didn’t live up to expectations, and what the hell is going on with E3, but there was only one that made this list and it is the list and that is Sony.

From beginning to end in 2020 Sony drop the ball with what they were trying to do with promoting the PlayStation 5 (PS5 for short). We said on both the podcast and blog post that Sony was doing a “Cartman Land” if you want to know what we are talking about you can look at the video here.

Besides this, there were very quiet until a few months back with the PS5 reveal and then showcase the two models, the prices for each model and launch titles didn’t save them for what was going to happen, the per-order botch. Unlike Microsoft, who game everyone weeks in advance to decide if they wanted to pre-order their upcoming system, Sony just shot themselves in the foot. In less than 24 hours all online stores such as Amazon, Wal-Mart, Gamestop, and such decided not to wait and went live with all of the pre-orders and pissed everyone off. As of now Sony is still trying to restock PS5, but with little to none success and has stated that stores will have more PS5 by the end of the year, but I doubt it.

Next week we will talk about the best in 2020.
