Ahoy Captain Cats here and if 2020 hasn’t been bad enough for businesses and many industries, it is going to get worse.

According to Variety Cineworld, a British cinema company and owners of Regal Cinemas has announced the following statement on Sunday via its official Twitter Account:

“We can confirm we are considering the temporary closure of our UK and US cinemas, but a final decision has not yet been reached. Once a decision has been made we will update all staff and customers as soon as we can.” – Cineworld Cinemas via Twitter

The main reason for them to be in this situation is due to the delay of the upcoming James Bond film “No Time to Die” which was announced the film release was pushed back to April of 2021. If they do decide to temporarily close all of there cinema in both the UK and USA that is a total of 787 sites and a total of just over 37,000 employees will be in limbo if this were to happen. We will keep you up to date when they do make any final statement on this situation.
