Ahoy Captain Cats here and today a huge announcement for SNK fans around the world.

Gstone Group announced that they are working closely with SNK and will be releasing the SNK Neo-Geo MVSX Home Arcade this November. In a press release Gstone Group gave a summary of what the home arcade will be:

  • Will include both Multi Video System(MVS) and Advanced Entertainment System(AES) versions of the 50 classic NEOGEO games built inside.
  • Will have game series such as King Of Fighters, Metal Slug, Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, Art of Fighting, and more.
  • Will have a 17-inch 4:3 LCD screen, two-player support, and will have the look and feel like the MVS arcade cabinet.
  • Will be almost 5-foot-tall full arcade size cabinet.


Preorders for the SNK MVSX will start in September of this year via the MVSX website and will officially launch in November of this year, the MVSX will cost $449.99, the MVS style base will be $99.99, and for both will be $499.99. The price will play a huge factor, and the release window is around the same time as the new Sony and Microsoft system and more.
