Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we have another round of comic book news round up so let’s get going.

Marvel Comics had made a major announcement over the weekend with the news of Marvel shutting down of its digital comics store on June 2 this year. According to comic book the only two ways that one can get their fix of Marvel comics via digital you have to either go through the Marvel Comics app on your mobile devices and ComiXology. Now, this can be either good or bad for not just for them, but for everyone other comic book companies because they can affect the industry in the long run.

This year the Clown Prince of Crime turns 80. The Joker was introduced back in Batman #1 on April 25, 1940, and from that day on The Harlequin of Hate has been a thorn to the side of The Dark Knight. DC Comics will release a 100-page collector comic with fan-favorite writers and artist that has worked on any Batman story arc over the years that had The Joker involved. The 100-page collector comic will go on sale on June 9 of this year.

DC also announced they will be launching a new rewards program for everyone. The rewards for this new program are great and here are a few samples:
