Ahoy Captain Cats here and today I’m going to give you my take on DCU latest series Harley Quinn.

The series is all about Harley trying to make a name out of herself, by doing it by herself with a ragtag group of supervillains who are in this series like a class A minor league baseball team. Throughout the series you see Harley making the same mistakes, kinda learning from them and being this kick-ass female supervillain with her crew and it somehow works. The show didn’t try to be as series as Titans or odd and dark like DOOM PATROL, it knows what it wants to be and it’s off the wall, a bloody, crazy, funny, insane trip with a few bumps in the road.

The voice acting cast was one of the best things about the series. Kaley Cuoco as Harley was the best choice, brought her to life in her own way and that is refreshing. The rest of the main cast was perfect as well, especially Jason Alexander, Lake Bell and Alan Tudyk who did a fantastic job bringing their characters to life as well. The other best thing in this series is the secondary characters, they were a highlight reel of pure laughter and chaos. Out of all of the supporting cast, it was Kite-Man and Bane, they had great moments, especially Bane who James Adomian did one hell of a job with him.

The only bad thing I would have to say about the series as a whole is the pacing and some of the side stories do feel out of place in certain episodes. I can oversee those things because the series as a whole is worth the watch and with season 2 right around the corner now is the best time to watch this series.

Harley Quinn is on the DCU streaming service and you can watch all 13 episodes of season 1 now.
