Ahoy Captain Cats here and I’m going to review the series premiere episode of DC Universe’s newest series Harley Quinn and the episode is titled “Til Death Do Us Part.”
From start to finish this episode was nothing I was expecting at all and I’m glad I was wrong because how this episode played out and maybe the rest of the series, it could be one of the best shows DC has next to DOOM PATROL this year. The way Harley and The Joker interact with one another throughout this episode was wonderfully done, you can tell that their kind of relationship is not one that anyone wants to be in. we also see Batman and Gordon, who looked way too overwork and voiced by Chris Meloni and just made me laugh seeing how the way Gordon talks and interacts with Batman and Harley.
We also see the likes of Poison Ivy, The Riddler and Calendar Man of all people who brought this episode to life and was perfect. The flow of the animation is nothing but flawlessness from Warner Bros. Animation, who always steps their game up each time they take on a new project. The pacing and storytelling are great here, it shows that they took their time with this and it shows and there are times when it gets serious, it gets serious such as Harley talking to herself and knows The Joker will never love her.
The Cast here is excellent with the likes of Kaley Cuoco, Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Diedrich Bader, Jim Rash, J.B. Smoove and Chris Meloni bringing their roles to life and this is just the first episode. Is this a series you should watch, yes but for older viewers, differently not for the kiddies with a huge amount of violence, swearing and I mean lots of it and the nature of what the season could bring in later episodes.
