Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we are going to talk about the best thing on Disney plus and that is The Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian is an original Star Wars series that takes place five years after what happened in Return of the Jedi and the Age of Rebellion and way before The Force Awakens in the Age of Resistance. The story for this series is summed up by Jon Favreau, who created, written and executive producer on this series as:

“After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of The First Order The series depicts a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.” – Jon Favreau

The way the series feels, looks and acts is 100% pure samurai/spaghetti western. Pedro Pascal who plays the main character gives off this Toshiro Mifune/Franco Nero vibes to him in the way he walks, talks, and interacts with others in the series. The way the series looks and its storytelling is if Sergio Leone and Akira Kurosawa got together and did it to show off what can you do with little to none effort. While many people will get a kick out of this series because it’s the new kid on the block and its Star Wars, to me its how the way the storytelling flows with the environment and how they play off from one another. The first episode did everything right on how this series was going to be, with the tone and pacing come together hand and hand. The second episode while being great, especially the first 10 minutes, was good but did had some missteps, are easily forgivable with how the series is going.

The Mandalorian is a must-see for anyone who is either a fan of Star Wars or a classic storytelling cinema. The Mandalorian will have a total of 8 episodes so let us see this series doesn’t trip the finish line.
