Ahoy Captain Cats here and today we have a cartoon news roundup so let’s go!

Three BIG news came out from Adult Swim over the past week. First, they announced that they have order Genndy Tartakovsky new animated series called Primal. This new series is nothing like his other two previous series, Dexter’s Laboratory and Samurai Jack, this series is very dark, brutal and not for the kiddies. The separate announcement was that Rick and Morty are back! The duo went to YouTube and made their announcement there which you can see here,and they will be back this November.

Netflix also made some moves over the weekend as well. First, they announced that Disenchantment would be back this year. According to Animation Magazine the second season titled Disenchantment Part Two will be on Netflix on September 20 with a global launch. While the first season was a hit and miss, it did pull it together at the near end of the season. Animation Magazine also reported that Netflix would be streaming both Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling and Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus animated films. Both were teased last here and since then Nickelodeon been hush about both movie till now, and no, no release date has been set yet.

Warner Bros and DC showcased a trailer for the next Batman animated film after the upcoming Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and its called Batman: Hush.The film is based on the story arc of the same name that was released back in 2002 and finished in 2003 from DC Comics, and it was created by Jeph Loeb, Jim Lee, Scott Williams, Richard Starkings and Alex Sinclair

Lastly fans of the indie favorite animated series Ladybug & Cat Noir your in luck as it was reported by Variety that a full-length film is in production and has a name which is Ladybug & Cat Noir Awakening. No word on any release date for this year or next year but we’ll keep an eye on this one.
