Detective Comics #1000 Review

Ahoy me mateys Captain Cats here and today I’m going to review the landmark issue 1000 of Detective Comics.

I’m going to make this short and straightforward, this issue was a love letter to the Dark Knight who turns 80 this year. With ten stories written by some of the best writers, artists, and inkers, they could stand on their own if they ever wanted to make a single issue out of each story. Out of all of the ten, only three stood out to me as the most interesting and captures Batman, and they are:

Return to Crime Alley – by Denny O’Neil, Steve Epting, and Elizabeth Breitweiser

I Know – by Brian Michael Bendis, Alex Maleev and Josh Reed

Batman’s Greatest Case – by Tom King, Tony S. Daniel, Joelle Jones, Tomeu Morey, and Clayton Cowles

This is a MUST BUY for any Batman fan, and this issue shows why we love him for 80 years and will continue to enjoy him for many more years to come.
