Ahoy me mateys Captain Cats here. Last week The Hollywood Reporter reported that Warner Bros (WB for short) had made a few movie release announcements and changes to their movie release dates last week and it looks like 2021 is going to be an exciting year for them.

First, the WB has changed the release date of Doctor Sleep, an adaptation of the book of the same name written by Stephen King and is said to be the sequel to his classic work The Shining from January 24, 2020, to November 8, 2019. Another film that had its released date change was The Witches, which star Anne Hathaway in this remake of the 1990 film which stared Anjelica Huston to October 16 of 2020.

The first of the three DC films to be released in 2021 is DC Super Pets. The film is based on the pets of Superman, Batman and Supergirl who are Krypto, Ace the Bat-Hound and Streaky. All that is known about this film is that it is directed by Jared Stern and Sam Levie and producer is Patty Hicks. DC Super Pets will be released on May 21, 2021.

The Batman, which is directed by Matt Reeves has been getting a lot of talk within the past few days since Ben Affleck confirmed that he is done with the role. The only thing that we know is that The Batman will be released on June 25, 2021.

Suicide Squad has an official name, which is The Suicide Squad and is written and directed by James Gunn of Guardians of the Galaxy fame. Gunn was fired from Marvel Studios in July of last year, hours away from a panel he was going to be at during San Diego Comic-Con and the rumor was that he was going to show a teaser for the next Guardians of the Galaxy film.
