Ahoy me mateys Captain Cats here, and today I’m going to reviewing issue six of Mirka Andolfo’s Unnatural and with this issue we reach the halfway point of this book series.

The comic opens up very dark and sad; we see a doctor that put a device and giving a very dark and sinister talk about freedom to a female. After the speech and she said that no one would want her in society and this opening does reflect how it is today with society. How the way things are with the world this is a reflection on what could happen if things don’t change and stay the same. Soon after we see Jones with the doctor who is also his “Dad” and they both meet up with the voodoo man and they talk about what they are going to do next with Leslie. Soon we see Leslie back with her group and all of a sudden she change and try to attack her group but came back to herself. We soon see Jones and his group attack the place, during this time Leslie and Khal have a heart to heart talk and after a few moments an all-out attack happens, they are on the run again.

This issue was very dark than the other issues before it. The first opening pages set the tone and how the issue was going to be was to be the darkest moment in the series so far. The art is excellent, especially with the dream pages that are gorgeous. With this being the halfway point in this series, we have to wait and see what’s in store for Leslie and company.
