Ahoy me mateys Captain Cats. Well, it didn’t take long for James Gunn to find work again after what happened to him at Marvel. A lot of news outlet reported that Warner Bros (WB for short) had picked up Gunn and gave him the keys to work on the second movie for the ‘Suicide Squad’ franchise and it begs the question: did Disney just gave WB the last piece of the puzzle they need to turn around the DCCU and save it?

Before we can answer that here is all of the release dates that we know so far:

  1. Aquaman- December 21, 2018
  2. Shazam!- April 5, 2019
  3. Joker- October 4, 2019
  4. Wonder Woman 1984- November 1, 2019
  5. Birds of Prey- February 7, 2020

As you can see DC and WB has five films to be release in a 14-month span and they can afford maybe one flop. If DC and WB give Gunn the time and money to do the movie right, I think it could be what Guardians of the Galaxy 3 could have been and with also reports that David Batista want to work with Gunn again.

In the end, Gunn maybe be the last piece that DC needs to not only give us all a great DC film, but also the Suicide Squad film we wanted to see; if done right of course. For now, all we have to do is play the waiting game and see what he does with Suicide Squad.

What do you think of Gunn joining DC? Good or bad ideal? Let us know in the comments below!
